Dine Wilmington Foodies Dine Out Meetup PDF Print E-mail

ericEric Gephart of Buoy 32 surprised the December Dine Wilmington Foodies Group Meetup group at Plaza Mariachi.

The group meets every month for a different dining experience. Over the past 5 monthly meetups, the group which has a registered membership of 83, has attended cooking demonstrations, chef led tastings and set themed dinners. This month, Chef Gephart surprised the group by attending the "social" at Plaza Mariachi. Without a prior introduction, he mingled with the group and when it was announced that there was a "Special Local Celebrity Chef", some members were surprised to find gift certificates attached to the bottom of their seats. "It was a great experience to be a part of a group like this", stated Chef Gephart. "I enjoyed myself so much and had great conversation. When I am in my restaurant, I am focused on that, being out of the restaurant and able to mingle with the members was a tremendous treat. I was able to learn about the group, what people are looking for and experience the welcome of an open table like this." The next Meetup, scheduled for January will be hosted at Buoy 32. Chef Gephart is putting together the Meetup and it will be posted at www.meetup.com in the upcoming week.
