SNEAK PEEK THE MENUFrom San Francisco to Wilmington - The new Chef who is changing things up - Recently joining the Wilmington culinary scene, Chef Michael Patria arrived in Wilmington in June from San Francisco and has joined the Soho Steak House. When Mei Ling Chau, learned of Patria from a friend visiting in San Franscisco, she approached him with an opportunity to lead up the recently opened Soho Steakhouse on Oleander. "I knew that Michael could bring culinary innovation to the area and a unique flare to our cuisine that no one else is offering." "We were looking for something fresh and new, Michael is just that", states Chau. Originally from Marietta, Georgia, Patria has been in the celebrity culinary circle for the past ten years and has had the distinct honor of working under and with, well renowned chefs such as; Hubert Keller, Jean-Pierre DuBray, Gary Danko & Kevin Rathbun (a recent victor of the Iron Chef competition over Bobby Flay). Patria states that he is looking forward the Wilmington lifestyle and all that our community has to offer. His particular talents in "Nouvelle Cuisine" which offer unique refinements on classical dishes, accompanied by his flare of California influence will add an element of recreation to the typical steakhouse fare. His philosophy of cooking is that "it is an act of creation, an art of the senses". Chef Patria introduced his new Menu at Soho on June 25th. |
