This poll was designed to determine whether or not diners can differentiate between Corporate owned, Franchise and Independently owned restaurants.
The competition in the restaurant industry is brutal. Whether you realize it or not, local restaurant owners need the community support more now than ever before. It's important to know which restaurants are locally owned and we encourage you to ask if you are unsure. It is not as cut and dry as one would think and although we oversimplified our answers to three categories, ownership at the local level is what is in question.
Our results show that there is a hard time telling one from another. The only restaurant that was clearly identified as Independently owned was Laterna Mediterranean Grill. 100% of those that participated in this poll knew that Laterna is an Independently owned restaurant. We encourage you to know your locally owned restaurants, restaurant groups and locally owned franchises.
