Jessamine is Serving up the SushiJessamine Thai & Sushi completes renovation and new management team in place. Ann Veber, the former owner of Rim Wang on Front Street, has completed the last component of her new restaurant, Jessamine Thai and Sushi. After a year of upgrades and improvements to the former Viet Bistro location at 149 South College Road, the full service sushi bar has been installed and a new management team put in place. Although open since July of 2007, the Sushi bar, an estimated $40,000 addition to the restaurant, was only recently completed. With a bright open exterior, according to Veber, "After one year, we are so pleased with the atmosphere and what we now have to offer. Our menu has been changed and upgraded to reflect authentic Thai dishes and Sushi. With Yai Walakut over-seeing the sushi bar we have finally completed the restaurant." In the competitive sushi market, Veber states that the sushi bar will offer many unique specials and the new management team has its full focus on service and quality. Jessamine Thai & Sushi also caters to vegetarians and the restaurant still offers Pho, the popular beef based broth with noodles and meats, the Vietnamese dish based on the former Viet Bistro’s original recipe. Veber states “if you have not been here before and are looking for authentic food in a great atmosphere, now is the time to come in. If you have been in, you’re going to love the improvements and extended menu.” |
