Pita Delite - A New Way To Eat Healthy & Fast

There are several different types of restaurant ownership. Sometimes to the consumer, it is not so obvious.

We are all familiar with the corporate restaurant concept. The places where we know what to expect of the menu and pulling into the parking lot is usually beacuse out of habit - you already know what's inside. But, what may lie just around the corner, just as convenient, is a privately owned franchise with a local familiar face behind the counter, maybe it's Jeff Brown the owner of Pita Delite.

When searching for a business to go into, Jeff checked out all of his options. He knew what he wanted and also that he wanted to provide something different to Wilmington. Each and every franchise is different in the amount of support, marketing and recognition that goes behind it.

Why Pita Delite?  Jeff  is the first owner of a Pita Delite franchise. The three other existing locations, all currently in the Greensboro area are still held by the original owners. For Jeff, it was about eating healthy and fast, a combination that we don't usually pair. The offerings at Pita Delite are Mediterranean, and the counter service at Pita makes it convenient to order and sit down in a clean, comfortable and relaxing dining area. It's a win - win; cost effective, healthy & great atmosphere! Did we mention that the service is fantastic? Jeff makes sure of it himself. Literally.
When you eat out local, don't forget the locally owned franchise.

Recently, I had the opportunity to briefly talk to the owner of another locally owned franchise at a lunch meeting. The owner just happened to be in the process of mopping the floor. When I returned to my conversation with my lunch companion, she was surprised that I was on a first name basis with the person cleaning up after the lunch crowd. When I explained that he was the owner, she couldn't believe that he was out cleaning the floors - I assured her it's more typical then you know! Don't take it for granted the next time your table is cleared or you are asked how your meal was that person asking may care more about your answer then think! I was shocked that the first time I met Jeff at Pita Delite it was under very similar circumstances. I learned my lesson. Ownership comes in different shapes and forms. The restaurant business is tough, to say the least! To make it, you have to do everything necessary to know your business and see that it runs well & efficiently - even if it sometimes means mopping the floors and clearing the tables.
