Flaming Amy's Bowl

ricebowlThe Story Behind the Bowl
Jay and Amy Muxworthy, the dynamic duo who brought us Flaming Amy's, are introducing Wilmingtonians to Flaming Amy’s Bowl. Located in the Long Leaf Shopping Center the concept is a twist on the Mongolian Grill, keeping the fresh vegetables and meats but redesigning it with a larger selection of already completed sauces.  The Mongolian Grill combinations are basic ingredients such as; garlic, chili sauce, teriyaki, and lemon water. At the Flaming Amy’s Bowl, 10 sauces are already completed which Thai Peanut, Teriyaki, Lemon Basil and Marinara.  “At the Bowl, we provide a menu of dish recommendations, pairing meats, vegetables and sauces, taking the guesswork out of the outcome of the final completed dish. Dish prep styles include a variety of alternatives, rather than the typical Asian flavors”, according to Muxworthy. Another notable difference is that the Bowl will house three Japanese style Teppanyki Grills which are smaller and easily cleaned after every cooking. “You can be assured that that your dish will not be affected by the flavors of the previously cooked one and one grill will be dedicated solely for vegetarian grilling”, states Muxworthy.
