Located in Historic Downtown Wilmington, The George on the Riverwalk is the only riverfront restaurant offering “dock and dine.”  The George sits directly on the Cape Fear River so customers can enjoy a great view along with an impressive menu.  The menu offers Southern Coastal cuisine at its best, featuring fresh local seafood , steaks, pasta, salads, desserts and Chef's daily specialties. Begin with the “George” Calamari, a unique take on a classic that mixes lightly fried, seasoned calamari with artichokes, roma tomatoes, fresh basil, capers, banana peppers and feta cheese.  Another delicious appetizer sure to please is the Crab Ceviche.  The combination of jumbo lump crab, fresh roma tomatoes, spicy peppers and lime juice, with the accompaniment of avocadoes and fried pasta chips is sinfully delicious.

    While watching another stunning Wilmington sunset, enjoy the superior offerings of the dinner menu.  Try the Island Mahi; fresh mahi mahi coated with Caribbean jerk seasoning and topped with a coconut-pineapple sauce, served with fried bananas.  This dish is the perfect balance between sweet and spicy.   Also, the Smothered Filet is pure guilty pleasure, satisfying one’s appetite with a grilled filet mignon that is topped with sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, and provolone cheese.    

    Located at 128 South Water Street, The George on the Riverwalk is also open for Sunday Brunch so swing on by and indulge in their French Toast Foster and Summer Seafood Crepes, shrimp/crab stuffing wrapped in a light crepe topped with cheese Mornay.  Offering daily drink and food specials, this downtown gem is not to be missed.
